  • What type of toothbrush should I use? Electric or Manual?

    When buying a toothbrush, it’s important to purchase one with soft bristles to avoid damaging teeth and gums. Electric and manual toothbrushes each have pros and are really up to the individual.

  • How often should I replace my toothbrush or toothbrush head?

    Ensure to replace your toothbrush every three to four months if the bristles start to get splayed out or fall out.

  • Is flossing important?

    Flossing is crucial for proper dental hygiene. It removes plaque and food that hide between your teeth and under your gumline. You can use either waxed or unwaxed floss. Using floss pics is another way to help.

  • Should I use toothpaste with fluoride?

    Fluoride makes teeth strong. It also prevents decay. It is important for both adults and children, too.

Child Dental Care

  • How early should my child go to the dentist?

    Children can typically begin having dental checkups by their first birthday.

  • How often should I replace my child’s toothbrush?

    It would be best to replace your child’s toothbrush every four months or after they are sick.

  • When should I start flossing my child’s teeth?

    There isn’t an exact age, but typically it’s whenever you start to see that the teeth are touching. 

Denture Care

  • Should I use toothpaste on my dentures?

    It would be best not to use regular toothpaste on your dentures. There are specific washes and rinses to clean dentures.

  • Can I sleep with dentures?

    You can certainly sleep with your dentures in. However, it’s recommended to have them rinse in a cleaning solution overnight to clean them.

  • Can I eat normally with dentures?

    You can eat normally after getting used to the dentures. However, please avoid chewing gum with dentures. This can damage dentures.
